Prouve standard chair

My  forever obsession is dining chairs. Jean Prouve was an architectural maestro who pioneered constructural development and designed iconic pieces which have stood the test of time. The simplicity of the designs helped carve the path for the modern design movement particularly in the form of tables, chairs and sideboards. The 'standard' chair by Jean Prouve circa 1930 is a cult classic appearing in contemporary homes, museums, hotels and restaurants around the world. It is still produced today by manufacturer Vitra (http://www.vitra.com/) who are also the manufacturer of other iconic designers such as Charles and Ray Eames. I have added this to my ever expanding wish list. Just divine. Also available at (http://www.hivemodern.com/).

Marble madness

Josh Goot's A/W 2009 collection was by far the most exciting collection delivered by an Australian designer, His minimalist aesthetic was contrasted with silk fabrics reminiscent of rare gemstones and marble prints in lilac, pink and turquoise and orange when combined delivered the perfect eye candy, An unforgettable juxtaposition. Fashion meets Art.
